Look for the Silver Lining When Trouble Comes
Praise God for when He makes a promise, He will certainly keep it. Psalms 46:1-3 is God’s guarantee to all those who put their full trust in Him. It says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

My Bible reading last night from the Book of Jeremiah is a revelation of the silver lining over the hindsight why there’s so much trouble now all over the world. God said in Jeremiah 31:20 (CEV), “People of Israel, you are my own dear children. Don’t I love you best of all? Though I often make threats, I want you to be near Me, so I will have mercy on you. . .” What is really most important to God is the restoration of man back to reality that He created us for His purpose not for what we want in our life.

Hosea 5:15 (NKJV) reveals the divine purpose of the miseries that God’s chosen people had experienced because of their egocentric way of living. They knew God but they don’t worship Him as God. So, God promised them, “I will return again to My place till they acknowledge their offense. Then they will seek My face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”

Jeremiah 29:12-14a (NKJV), “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord.”

Seeing things through the eyes of God is therefore to understand and embrace God’s mercy and favors to bring us back safe to eternal glory and enjoy His Presence forever and ever.
