When God Gives You a Testimony
I was listening to Pastor Tony Evans’ message yesterday entitled, “Lame Man Walking”. The story was about a man in Acts Chapters 3 & 4 who was lame for 40 years (Acts 4:22). Everyday, somebody had to carry him along the street and laid him beside the Temple gate called, The Beautiful Gate to beg for money. One day, as the Apostle Peter and John were passing by, he asked them for some money. Then Peter said in Acts 3:6, “We don’t have any money for you! But I’ll give you something else! I command you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!”, and Acts 3:7-8 is telling us what happened thereafter, “Then Peter took the lame man by the hand and pulled him to his feet. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankle bones were healed and strengthened so that he came up with a leap, stood there a moment and began walking! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them” (Acts 3:7-8). God has His perfect timing making one ready to be grabbed and be grabbable like what happened in the story so that a supernatural infusion of power will be displayed for a divine purpose to save souls and be transformed for the restoration of an image that was destroyed in the Garden of Eden.

Tony Evans said that when God gives you a testimony of God’s miracle He did it to accomplish His purpose to save a sinner and transform him into what God wants him to be. That day, about 5,000 men who witnessed the miracle became believers of Christ and were saved.

God’s power to heal on the spot reminded me of the testimony that God gave me. Yes, God gave me a testimony of His instant miracle healing power that I can tell to my circle of loved ones and friends, and to all the people crossing my path. In the year 2016, I noticed I had dark spot right on my throat and also apparent at the back of my neck which was bothersome deep inside me knowing that a discoloration of skin is a bad sign of a health problem. It was confirmed when I had my blood work done sometime in April 2017. My doctor found abnormalities and suggested a biopsy because of the possibility of cancer. It was scary to hear such a remark but remembering right away God’s promises in the Scripture gave me peace and joy knowing that God is my Healer and I’m confident He will use it to accomplish a purpose like the blind man since child birth whom Jesus opened his eyes so that he can see as his testimony of God’s power to heal even the impossible.

I immediately claimed God’s promise that by the wound of Jesus on the cross I’m healed (Isa. 53:5-6;1Peter 2:24). He sent me His Word and healed me (Psalm 107:20). His Word is medicine to our physical body (Prov. 4:20-22). Glory to God because the next time I checked my neck, surprisingly, the dark spot was already gone.

The biopsy was done only after three months. When I went back to my doctor for the result, praise God because he told me I have no cancer. He wanted a confirmation so I had to go for MRI which gave the same good result. Hallelujah! An ultrasound was also done and my doctor said I was well.

When I went back to my primary doctor, she was surprised that all my diagnostic procedures came back normal. She said that I was the first patient who came back with negative results. Indeed, only our Almighty God can do miracles to give us a powerful testimony that He is our Greatest Physician and Strongest Deliverer to save us from the penalty of sin through the sacrificial death of His Son Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord and Savior.

Praise His Most Holy Name forever and ever. Truly, anyone who put their full trust in God will never be dismayed nor be disappointed (Roman 10:11).
