Remain Faithful to the End
The mission message that God has placed in my heart during my recent visit to our beloved Motherland, the Philippines, was centered on perseverance that God requires of all His saints to endure until the end by focusing on His plan not ours so that we won’t be sidetracked by menial things having no relevance to our glorious and eternal inheritance prepared by God in our final destiny. God made it clear to us in Ephesians 1:9-10, “He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”

It is for this purpose therefore that the Apostle Paul was very emphatic in urging us to get along with each other and let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves (1Cor. 1:10; Phil. 2:3). This is so hard to understand because the standard of this world is how to outsmart one another. I believe this is the reason why the Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians in his first letter Chapter 1:21 saying, “God was wise and decided not to let the people of this world use their wisdom to learn about Him. Instead, God chose to save only those who believe the foolish message we preach.”

Jesus said, “The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted” (Matt. 23:11-12). Hence, it is now easy to understand the importance of humility as our winning weapon to nullify and crush man’s pride under our feet.

Kung hindi nga tayo magkakaisa sa mundong ito, ano ang puwesto natin sa heaven? If we can’t get along with each other here on earth, what would be our place in heaven? Surely we don’t have a place there as stated in Gal.5:19-21. This should be the reason why God sent us His Holy Spirit as our Helper to make us stop practicing what is evil and help us become overcomer until the end (1Cor. 2:12-14). Jesus said, “. . .But you cannot do anything without Me” (John 15:5c).
