Happy 4th of July. Let's praise God for this very special day not only to reflect on the Independence of this Land of the Free and Home of the Brave but more importantly on the freedom to belong to Christ (Rom. 7:4 CEV). This means, “Now you are set free from sin and are slaves who please God. . . . Now you must make every part of your body serve God, so that you will belong completely to Him. . . . Now you have been set free from sin, and you are God's slaves. . . . You are no longer ruled by your desires, but by God’s Spirit, who lives in you. People who don’t have the Spirit of Christ in them don’t belong to Him. . . .People who are ruled by their desires think only of themselves. Everyone who is ruled by the Holy Spirit thinks about spiritual things. . . . His Spirit lets us know that together with Christ we will be given what God has promised. We will also share in the glory of Christ . . . ” (Rom. 6:18-19; 8:9,5,17)
Psalm 73:24, “You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny."
All glory to our Living God, our Eternal Father forever and ever for giving us a very meaningful journey and glorious destiny through His One and Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer.
