What Love Can Do?
In this fallen world expect people who will always treat you wrong. Thinking of them in a negative way is mind-boggling and self-destructive beyond repair; like rust of your soul that can destroy you slowly but surely. How can you get rid of them? Love them and God will turn them into your friends. Do your part and let God do His big part. Hate them and you are making yourself the destroyer of your own soul. Blame no one but blame your own self. You will always have two choices to make anyway. Right or wrong. God or yourself. Make sure to choose what is right to enjoy life to the fullest. No doubt it’s God who is always right. Proverbs 16:7 says, “When we please the Lord, even our enemies make friends with us” (CEV). Try it and be stunned to experience what love can do.

God ordained the law of the land to give us perfect peace so that even to our offenders we don’t have to retaliate because we can submit to the authorities who are sent by God to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right (1Peter 2:13-14). If the authorities are not doing their job well, we can still trust God that He will not leave the sinners unpunished (Prov. 11:21). The new Prime Minister of Australia cited a verse from the Bible in the book of Jeremiah 9:24 as he carries his personal and social responsibility which says, “I am the Lord who exercises loving kindness, justice and righteousness on Earth; for I delight in these things, declares the Lord.”

God knows that no one who can’t let go of their anger or hatred can enjoy life that He wonderfully gave us. It’s Satan’s tool to destroy people that’s why the Apostle Peter is emphatic in his admonition when he wrote 1Peter 5:7 for all the believers saying, “Cast all your anxiety on Him (God) because He cares for you.” The Apostle Paul said it this way in Romans 12:17-21, “Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord. On the contrary: ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’ Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.”

We need to love our enemies so that we can pray for them to get shield from God against the flaming arrows of Satan who is our real enemy and not his victim turning them into his accomplice to destroy God’s beautiful creation (Eph. 6:10-18). King Solomon in Proverbs 3:5 said, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Our Maker who wants us to call Him Abba Father, is delighted to see us happy at all times just like our earthly fathers, while He continues to change us, mold us, transform us in His refinery into our original image like Him from glory to glory as heirs and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17) so that in the end we will surely share the glory (Romans 8:28-30) which Satan had coveted that caused his downfall and eternal damnation .

Philippians 4:4-7, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
