When You are Lonely and Bored
When you are lonely and bored, have you ever thought that God seeks to heal you in your feelings of isolation and loneliness? Why would God do that? Because He knows that loneliness is not a good thing. Loneliness is no respecter of person. You can be wealthy and lonely, beautiful and lonely, married and lonely, you can even be lonely in a crowd! But God has given you the limitless power of imagination (Eph. 3:20) with wings like eagle (Isa. 40:31) so that you can fly much higher above your circumstances and enjoy what God can do. What you will find through the eyes of your faith are the true, incomparable and eternal riches of your worth why God sent His Son to die for you on the cross without counting your sins yesterday, today and tomorrow (1Cor. 15:3-4; Heb. 10:10,14).

Just imagine the real you. You are God’s breath that He first breathed into the nostril of our first parent, Adam (Gen. 2:7). You are God’s treasured possessions, His Jewels (1Pet. 2:9; Mal. 3:17). You are the apple of His eye (Zech 2:8). You are adopted into His family through His One and Only Begotten Son (Eph. 1:5). God is now your Father (John 1:12). You have a mansion in heaven, our eternal home (John 14:2). And countless more if you will listen more carefully and understand more fully as you grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord.

If you have Christ you have all joy regardless of your circumstances.

When you are lonely and bored, it could be God’s rod calling your attention lest you forget the real you which is your true identity, created in His image.

For now, always choose to rejoice in the Lord while God continues to transform and restore our image that was destroyed in the Garden of Eden. God is determined to glorify us in the end (Romans 8:28-30) as heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17). You can dance and sing in spirit no matter what condition you are in, trust Him who He says He is, He is the God of comfort.
