When Religion Becomes Terribly Bad
Religion is good because it teaches people to be good. It teaches people to go to Church, to be kind, to be helpful, to be loving and many more good stuff. But when it teaches people to be good so that he or she can enter heaven, that’s how religion become bad - so terribly bad. Religion uses fear and punishment as primary motivators “ You better do the right things or God’s wrath is waiting for you”. It makes salvation from hell so horribly impossible. Man has to accept what the Bible says there’s no one righteous not even one for all have fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:10,23). What makes God amazing is He chooses to love relentlessly even though He has infinite power.

That’s how religion becomes a big insult to God’s abounding grace – His unmerited favor. It nullifies God’s totally free invitation to all sinners to come to Him. It closes the gates of heaven because since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden all became sinners. Man has to realize this is the reason why Jesus came to save sinners not the righteous for there is no righteous because all are stained with sin (1Timothy 1:15).

We don’t have to ask God to save us because it’s God’s gift for all the sinners (Romans 6:23). What we only need to do is to receive Jesus and believe in His name so that God will give us the right to call Him our Father (John 1:12). Jesus came to pay our debt in full by His Shed Blood (1Peter 1:18-19). God made Jesus to be sin for us so that through His righteousness we can gain entry to Heaven (2Corinthians 5:20).

It’s because of the sin of our first parents, Adam & Eve, down to their descendants in all ages including our sins that Jesus came; for nothing can appease God’s wrath against sin but only through the holy blood that He shed on the cross once and for all (Hebrews 10:10,14). No good work can save us otherwise Jesus does not have to come and die on the cross.

All these facts make our Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday so meaningful and worth rejoicing to the fullest. Jesus has completely finished His mission on the cross to satisfy His father and give Him His delight to see us back in His glorious kingdom through His sole suffering to pay our debt in full (Isaiah 53).

Praise the Most Holy Name of God in His Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now and forevermore.
