Beware of Stress
When you’re lonely because you just miss something that you don’t even know what it is or you’re bogged down with problems which are not even yours, guard your heart and your thoughts right away from the sting of stress. Even the largest crocodile in the whole world,“Lolong,” from Agusan del Sur, Philippines didn’t survive from cardiac arrest just recently due to stress, how much more can stress destroy a human being. So when trouble comes make sure to insulate yourself right away against all kinds of stress in life.

Remember the awesome works of God in the Bible like that of Daniel in the lion’s den. He chose to be thrown into the den of starving lions rather than go one day without prayer. From the story, we learned that God is able to shut the mouth of the lions for the safety of Daniel. So that while Daniel was sleeping soundly that evening in the lion’s den, King Darius could not sleep because he does not want Daniel to die.

Another display of God’s marvelous power was when He walked on the lake to rescue His apostles who were so afraid because their boat was buffeted by the wave during a storm. That incident has brought a great reminder to all the believers. That in times of problem we should not worry because Jesus will surely come at the perfect time. He is never late.

Problems can be the believer’s vehicle to reach God’s glorious throne where His favors abound to all those who earnestly trust Him.

Rejoice therefore when problem comes because it is our opportunity to experience God personally as the solution to our problem unfolds.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:4-7).
