Making an Impact in our Spiritual Journey
One of the crowning glories that I could see in our partnership as co-laborers of Christ in His kingdom-building over the years is that MISSION has now become a reality to our Church. It is a milestone to celebrate since we have confidently identified the province of Agusan in the Philippines as our own mission field where we can join God beyond our borders bringing hope to the poor in terms of providing quality education, food, shelter, clothing and other humanitarian services.

Your generous giving last year in response to our Operation: “Make a Child Smile this Christmas” was so inspiring. The parents and kids showed great joy and expressed thanksgiving to God as they received their Christmas gifts and enjoyed the food prepared for them.

Below is an excerpt from the “thank you” letter of Marilou Tumayao, a single jobless mother of eight children. She is a recipient of our mission giving for her medical needs. She has a mass at her left hypochondriac region as big as an egg. She’s very pale, thin and sickly, suffering from coughs from time to time.

“I always pray to God for people who can help me in my worsening illness. The lingering pain is almost unbearable. I always end up crying for survival with my eight children who have no father to take care of them. He left us with high hope that he can find a job somewhere else for our daily subsistence.

Praise God for answering my prayer through the benevolence that the Day by Day Christian Ministries has extended me. God is so good for using your generosity to help me in the absence of my parents and my husband. Through your financial assistance, I was already seen by a doctor and have already bought the prescribed medicines.

I told my parents and my husband about your sincere help. My husband promised that he will join us in going to Church when he comes back.

I am so thankful to God for the answered prayer. Now I know that He really answers prayer if we earnestly seek Him.

Pastor, Brothers and Sisters, thank you so much for your kind heart to help me financially. I have personally felt God’s love in a deeper sense through your kindness.”

Another recipient of your generosity is Sis. Sulpicia, a resident of Barangay Amontay in the municipality of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, Philippines. She lived in a makeshift dwelling she herself made without walls and no enough roofing to shelter her safely and comfortably. She slept in a very small space just below the place where she cooks her food. But with your financial assistance through our Mission we were able to give her a decent place to live in.

Our Church partner in the Municipality of Nasipit continues serving the community and tribal outreaches with their Mercy Ministry by providing food, clothing and medicines through our mission giving.

Amongst others, is our “Adopt a Child Scholarship Project” for the underprivileged children in our ministry outreach in Barangay Jaguimitan, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, starting from Kimberly Llido for just $75.00 per year.

Without your full support to our Mission Giving it is impossible for us to join God’s work worldwide to help reach all the unreached and “to hasten the coming of the Day of our Lord” (2Peter 3:12).

Let us continue to make an impact while we are awaiting God’s final call. With your sacrificial giving we can continue making a difference to more people who will praise God for what we did.

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. . . You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God” (2Cor. 9:8,11).

A million thanks for your help and generosity. May God reward you with good health, joy, peace and countless blessings you so truly deserve.
