Be Wise and Not a Fool
In our brief-earth life, where, what and how we are going to take our journey depends on our choices and decisions. Are you a fool to misplace your value by fully exhausting most of your efforts on matters that won’t last or are you wise to choose what will only yield good and lasting fruits knowing how short life is?

For the Apostle Paul, it was the concept of pleasing God as his driving force to live a life that is most rewarding because the reward is unfading and glorious. He said in 1Peter 1:8-9, “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him, and you rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” That’s why he wrote to the Church in Corinth, “We make it our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it” (2Cor. 5:9).

His God-yielding life story is indeed a monument of a genuine faith worth following by everyone at all cost. Though he experienced many troubles like everyone else, but he testified God’s faithfulness in his life. Take delight as you read what he wrote in 2Tim. 4:16-18 saying, “At my first defense, no one stood by me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that I might fully preach the word and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil work and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen.” Isn’t this great? Oh, what a blessed hope we have in our Good Lord! It gives us wings to fly above the storms like an eagle. For without hope, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.

Always remember, it’s only your godly choice that can build and make your dream come true to satisfy the longings of your heart more than what you can imagine in beauty. Be wise and not a fool!
