The All-Powerful Builder of our Future
Joy and peace to you all from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Risen Lord and Savior.

“WE KNOW THE FUTURE BECAUSE WE ARE BUILDING IT” says an internet ad which I read last week. It’s obvious they are yet building their future. They know what it is but it will be constructed yet. Therefore, only time can tell whether they are going to make it or not. It is a hit or miss endeavor. But for God’s children redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, our future having accepted Him as our Lord and Savior, is a 100% sure thing because our FUTURE BUILDER is GOD Himself. It’s a done deal.

Like the Garden of Eden, it was already built perfect in beauty when Adam and Eve came to enjoy it. It’s like the Promised Land filled with milk and honey, already complete of everything for the Israelites to claim and enjoy it. Their part was only to pass the test of faith which purpose is revealed in Deuteronomy 8:2 saying, “Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.”

What a blessed hope truly we have in Jesus. Being compelled by God’s love, we will surely receive and enjoy God’s glory not only in the end of time but even while we journey in our temporal wilderness because God is faithful as our Sustainer, our Fortress, our Refuge and our Ever-Present Help. (Psalms 54:4; 46:1)

Having God as our future Builder gives us the most valid reason to use the power of imagination God has given us to overcome all the hurdles which are parts of the race of faith (Ephesian 3:20). Like the Apostle Paul, it is most practical to consider all things on earth as garbage in comparison to the glory we have in Christ for eternity (Ephesians 3:8). He said, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18), for they are even beyond what we can imagine (1Corinthians 2:9) as the Bride of Jesus having a mansion built by God Himself in His eternal Kingdom (John 14:1-2) where there is no more death, no more tears, no more wars, no more injustice, no more hurricanes and earthquakes, no more evil (Rev. 21:4), who would not ever cling to God and surrender his or her life to Him who is our Everlasting Abba Father.

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord" (Psalm 150:6).
